October 31, 2017 marks 500 years since Martin Luther nailed his 95 ideas for change in the church on the door of the Castle Church in Wittenberg, Germany, launching what later became the Reformation movement that never looked back.  Many of his ideas led to ways of discerning in community that would be founding ideas for modern forms of representative government today including ours!

First Church and St. Andrew’s Episcopal are planning educational and celebratory offerings throughout the fall to help our communities reflect on this historic anniversary and the bold ideas that launched so much change then. How do those theories resonate for us today?
