Good Friday, April 14
Joint Good Friday service with St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church here at First Church. Through scripture, hymns, and voices who speak to us from the story of that last day, we will prayerfully focus on the meaning of the sacrifice of Jesus for us and for the world. This is a beautiful meditative service as we continue to walk in Jesus ‘ footsteps toward resurrection!
Vigil hours in the Sanctuary in which we will watch and wait with Christ on the cross, accompanying him through the hours in silence with prayer. Devotional resources will be available for quiet meditation.
All are invited to experience this most ancient Christian service made new in the annual ecumenical Easter Vigil Service led jointly between First Church and St. Andrew’s Church, as well as three other area churches. Held at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church.
