Shake, Rattle and Roll

Shake, Rattle and Roll

delivered by Pastor Pam on April 22, 2018

based on Acts 16:16-34

While Paul and Silas are imprisoned, the jail begins to shake. The walls buckle and the doors come open. Yet, Paul and Silas do not run away. They are not fearful. Instead they find compassion for the guard who would suffer for their escape. Instead of fleeing in fear, they stay and sing songs of praise. Their courage and conviction changes the life of their guard and his whole family.

Sometimes in the midst of turmoil, which can shake the foundation of your life, the answer is not to run and hide but rather to claim the faith of Paul and sing praises to God. The most courageous act may be the refusal to give up on your faith even if the ground of your life shakes, rattles and rolls.
